Calm before the storm*

The last few weeks have been manic but now with wholesale orders made, boxed and sent we thought we'd have a brief respite from the studio before we try and play catch up with stock for the clothes show (seriously behind!)

So we spent 3 days in the lake district (well the edge of) in lovely Kendal. It's not been a complete break from work though - we've been holed up in the hotel room designing the spring summer range!

We don't usually get chance to design the spring summer range until after Christmas but this year with trying to get more wholesale accounts we thought it would be worth trying to get ahead of ourselves. I'm quite glad we decided to do this as we just got a phone call from a major high street store who is looking to launch a "tee room" for their menswear section featuring up and coming brands. We're going down to London next week for a meeting to discuss the possibilities so it will be nice to have something new to show them.

The next season range is called "Me&Yu Takes a Trip" and is inspired by psychedelia and the whole San Francisco, Haight Astbury hippy scence (my Tales of the City watching has been inspirational). Here's a few sketches and designs that we've been working on over the weekend.....

In an ideal world we'd like to get it all finished, sampled and photographed before Christmas but even if we can finish all the drawings we'll still be ahead on last year!

*I wrote this last week, but due to being in the eye of he storm for the last week or so, it's never managed to make it live. Thanks to a gentle nudge from a follower I've managed to get it uploaded!
