There's been a bit of a red hair revival recently. Florence Welch from Florence and the Machine is perhaps the most outstanding example but we've also seen red hair on Alyson Hannigan (Alice in Twiglight) and Karen Gillan (Amy Pond in Dr. Who). All great fiesty girls with attitude and red is definately the colour of rebellion in hair terms.
I've been red quite a few times, the most recent about 5 years ago. I'm fancying it again but don't think i'd go back there again as on the top of my blonde its very difficult to maintain - fading at the ends overnight. But its a shame as I really like the look.
I was sat in a cafe today and this video came on - thought I'd share it - Garbage, Sex is Not The Enemy. Shirley Manson is the epitome of the fiesty red headed rock chick and I think this look is pretty timeless - I'm loving the red dress / leopard coat combo. this video is from 2005 but they've been around since the mid ninties. They kind of passed me by at the time but I might have to get a 'greatest hits' album.
